Quick Navigation
Red Warning Lights (Stop Immediately)
Brake System Alert
This light signals low brake fluid or a failure in the braking system, which can reduce stopping power. Stop the car safely right away and call for roadside help or a mechanic to check and fix it.
Engine Oil Pressure
Low oil pressure or high engine temperature triggers this, risking engine damage. Pull over immediately, turn off the engine, check oil level, and add if needed; do not drive until resolved.
Battery Charge
This indicates a problem with the battery or charging system, like a failing alternator, causing power loss. Stop driving as soon as safe and have it inspected to avoid being stranded.
Seatbelt Reminder
It lights up if the driver or passengers are not buckled up, increasing injury risk in a crash. Fasten all seatbelts before continuing to drive.
Airbag System
A fault in the airbags or seatbelt tensioners means they might not deploy in an accident. Stop and visit a service center immediately for repairs to restore safety.
Coolant Temperature
This warns of overheating or low coolant, which can damage the engine. Stop the vehicle right away, let it cool, check coolant level, and seek professional help if needed.
Power Steering Failure
It signals a severe issue with the power steering, making the wheel hard to turn. Pull over safely and contact a mechanic, as driving could be dangerous.
Bonnet Open
The hood is not securely closed, risking it flying open while driving. Stop immediately, close the bonnet properly, and ensure it’s latched before proceeding.
Door Ajar
A door is not fully shut, which could open unexpectedly or affect cabin safety. Stop the car, close all doors securely, and check for any obstructions.
Transmission Overheat
High temperature in the transmission system can cause gear failure. Stop driving, let it cool, and take to a service center to prevent further damage.
AdBlue Urgent
For models with AdBlue, this means the tank is critically low, potentially stopping the engine. Refill AdBlue immediately or risk the vehicle not starting.
Electronic Steering Lock
A malfunction prevents the steering from unlocking properly. Do not attempt to drive; seek immediate assistance from a service center.
Key System Fault
This indicates a problem with the key or ignition system, possibly preventing startup. Stop the engine if running and contact a mechanic right away.
Handbrake Engaged
The parking brake is on while driving, which can wear out brakes or cause overheating. Release the handbrake fully before continuing.
Low Brake Fluid
Separate from general brake alert, this specifically means fluid is too low for safe braking. Stop immediately and add fluid or get professional help.
Yellow/Amber Warning Lights (Action Required Soon)
ABS System
This light means the anti-lock braking system has a fault, reducing control during hard stops. Drive carefully and visit a service center soon for repairs.
ESP Stability
Electronic stability program issue affects traction and skid prevention. Proceed with caution, especially on slippery roads, and have it checked promptly.
Glow Plug
For diesel variants, this indicates a problem with engine starting aids. Check for faults and consult a mechanic soon to avoid starting issues.
Check Engine
A general engine fault, like emissions or sensor problems, needs attention. Schedule a diagnostic scan at a service center as soon as possible.
Tyre Pressure
Low pressure in one or more tires can lead to blowouts or poor handling. Check and inflate tires to the recommended level soon.
DPF Filter
Diesel particulate filter is clogged, affecting exhaust. Drive at higher speeds if safe to regenerate, or visit a service center for cleaning.
Transmission Warning
Issue with the gearbox, such as slipping or overheating. Avoid heavy acceleration and get it inspected soon to prevent failure.
Brake Pad Wear
Brake pads are worn thin, reducing stopping efficiency. Replace them at a service center promptly to maintain safety.
Adaptive Headlights
Problem with automatic headlight adjustment. Adjust manually if needed and visit a service center for fixes.
Pre Sense System
Audi’s hazard detection has a fault, like dirty sensors. Clean sensors and seek service if the light stays on.
Lane Departure Warning
System detecting unintentional lane changes is inactive or faulty. Reactivate or have it serviced soon for safer driving.
Fuel Level Low
Running low on fuel, which could leave you stranded. Refill the tank at the next opportunity.
Green Information Lights (Information Only)
Turn Signal
Blinks to show left or right indicators are active for safe turning. No action needed unless it flashes rapidly, indicating a bulb issue.
High Beam
Indicates high beam headlights are on for better night visibility. Dim them for oncoming traffic to avoid blinding others.
Cruise Control Active
System is maintaining a set speed automatically. Adjust as needed via steering controls; no immediate action required.
Eco Mode
Fuel-saving mode is engaged, optimizing engine and transmission. Switch off if more power is needed.
Start/Stop System
Engine auto-shutoff at stops to save fuel is active. It restarts on acceleration; no action unless disabled.
Traffic Light Info
Displays time to next red light or suggested speed for green. Use it for efficient driving in supported areas.
Front Fog Lights
Fog lights are on for low-visibility conditions. Turn off when no longer needed to save energy.
Rear Fog Lights
Rear fogs are active to improve visibility from behind. Deactivate in clear conditions to avoid dazzling others.
Headlights On
Automatic or manual headlights are illuminated. Adjust settings based on lighting conditions.
Parking Lights
Sidelights are on for stationary visibility. Ensure they’re off when leaving the vehicle.
Hill Hold Assist
Prevents rolling back on inclines when starting. Active during stops on hills; no action required.
Night Vision Assist
If equipped, infrared camera for low-light detection is on. Use for enhanced awareness at night.
